On September 14th, 2023, AJ surprised Megan with a mystery trip to Michigan’s breathtaking Upper Peninsula. Their adventure led them eight hours north to a cozy cabin on Bass Lake—after a slight detour where AJ almost broke into the wrong one! That evening, they wandered downtown Marquette, enjoying dinner with stunning views of Lake Superior. But the real magic happened at Presque Isle State Park. As the sun dipped below the horizon, they walked out onto the iconic Black Rocks, the waves crashing around them. Megan was lost in the beauty of the moment, while AJ was nervously waiting for the perfect second—hoping the crowd would thin. Just after capturing a picture of Megan, she turned to find him down on one knee.
